I love taking tours when I am in a new city, but a lot of times they’re just *fine*, nothing more than what one could read on Wikipedia, and somewhat forgettable.
THIS is not that kind of tour…this tour was hands down the best I have ever been on (in fact, I am writing this review 5 months later, I thought I had left a review on Viator, but hadn’t- 5 months later and I am still thinking about it!)
What a fascinating city, with so many layers of history. I actually liked it better than Dubrovnik. Toni is not only an expert on the subject, he also has a teacher’s ability to captivate and communicate in an interesting way- and this is no small thing. In that sense, he is more an educator than a tour guide, and I mean that as a high compliment. If you are in Split, you will get so much more out of your experience to hire Toni!
